ABOUT ME
Dr. Gary Motykie MD earned his undergraduate degree in the challenging field of Bio-Medical engineering. During this time, Dr. Motykie was involved with advanced medical research projects, which included studying artificial organs, prosthetic limbs and the neurophysiology of the brain. After graduating with highest honors and multiple academic awards, Dr. Motykie followed his dream to study medicine.
Dr. Gary Motykie received his doctorate in medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago where he found a passion for the surgical specialties. During this time, Dr Motykie established and operating the first post-graduate fellowship in advanced surgical research. As Dr Motykie neared the completion of medical degree, his scientific achievements and natural talent propelled him towards the field of plastic surgery.
Dr. Motykie trained in plastic surgery at the University of Texas where he performed surgery at one of the top cancer and burn reconstruction facilities in the world. During this time, Dr Motykie was also fortunate to have the opportunity to travel and work with some of the top cosmetic plastic surgeons in Miami. Throughout this time, Dr. Motykie continued to present his work nationally and he authored numerous journal articles and scientific papers on a wide variety of plastic surgical topics.
In order to further establish himself as an elite expert in the field of cosmetic plastic surgery, Dr Motykie completed a very prestigious Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Fellowship in Beverly Hills. Upon successful completion of the fellowship, Dr Motykie began his private practice in Los Angeles California where he continues to practice today.
Dr. Gary Motykie MD is a highly skilled specialist in breast surgery, body contouring, rhinoplasty and facial rejuvenation as well as numerous other cosmetic surgical procedures. He has been featured in articles in the New York Times, LA Times and Wall Street Journal as well as having featured appearances on Dr Phil, EXTRA, ACCESS Hollywood, SPIKE TV and Inside Edition. He is currently featured on both the E! Entertainment’s series Dr. 90210 and the Discovery Channel’s Plastic Surgery: Before & After.
MY PHILOSOPHY
I believe that the most important goal in cosmetic plastic surgery is patient satisfaction. Therefore, my primary practice focus is to simply make my patient’s happy. I achieve this goal by listening carefully during my surgical consultations and aligning my patient’s desires with realistic expectations. Honesty is my only policy and I pride myself on providing a thorough and straightforward surgical consultation. I strongly believe that the best plastic surgery results are beautiful, natural and undetectable.
In my professional life, I consistently strive to promote and advance the expanding field of plastic surgery through my consistent involvement in television, radio and written media. It takes extra effort to stay at the forefront of a field that is constantly changing, but I believe that it is essential in order to keep myself and my patients well-informed about the newest and best surgical techniques currently available worldwide.
Through experience and constant evaluation of emerging technologies, I have engineered surgical procedures that are the safest, least painful and most effective. I have developed a keen artistic eye, extensive scientific knowledge and extremely skilled surgical hands for the sole purpose of making my patients expect nothing less than the best. I know that every patient is an individual with different goals, expectations and aesthetic concerns and I take that into account each and every time a patient puts their trust in my hands.
